Salvador Dali was a surrealist artist very famous for turning regular objects into bizarre things. His best known painting is ‘The Persistence of Memory’ made in 1931. He later developed a few more artworks inspired by the idea of melting clocks. I was inspired by his paintings with clocks to develop a collection that has bizarre shapes.
Like Dali’s paintings, my collection also tries to show a fantasy world where time does not matter, a world where fashion is not defined by the era but by what makes you stand out. I created this collection using knits, including the knitting of actual swatches.
